James Nash returns to the BTCC with BTC Norlin for 2018…

BTC Norlin Racing have announced that James Nash will join the BTCC Norlin Racing Team for the 2018 season. They have also revealed a new sponsorship deal with leading home, garden and leisure retailer, The Range.

Bert Taylor, BTC Norlin Racing Team Manager confirmed that James Nash, the former BTCC independent champion, will return to the British Touring Car Championship for the 2018 season with BTC Norlin Racing. Nash will join Chris Smiley on the grid in the team’s new Honda Civic Type-Rs.

Commenting on the announcement, James Nash said: I’m absolutely delighted to be joining BTC Norlin Racing and drive with teammate Chris Smiley. Over the winter I’ve been looking at opportunities for 2018 and Norlin made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Their new Honda Civic Type-R cars also attracted me as they have proved that they are one of the cars to beat, ensuring the BTC Norlin Racing Team can be competitive from the get go.

For the past two years, Nash has been a race winner and also a title contender in the TCR International Series for Craft-Bamboo Racing. Before this, he also drove for the WRT Audi team in the Blancpain GT Series. After leaving the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2012, he drove for the Team Aon Ford squad in the FIA World Touring Car Championship before joining the Craft-Bamboo Racing squad.

BTC Norlin Racing have also announced that they have secured the first new sponsor of 2018, with leading UK retailer The Range.
