The new for 2018 Honda Civic Type R TCR machine has officially been given it’s shake down at Italy’s Autodromo Tazio Nuvolari with Roberto Colciago piloting the JAS Motorsport-built car. Colciago said:“It was great to get a first taste of the new Honda Civic Type R TCR. As this was only a first run it’s too early to say much about the car, but the impression is that it feels well-balanced, the engine is responsive and the gearbox and other major areas like the aero package, are improved compared to the previous model that was itself a multiple championship-winner. Anybody who races this car next year is going to have a very competitive package.”
25 cars will be built initially with customer deliveries taking place between January and May of 2018.
