The Race 1 victory went to Sheldon van der Linde and his Audi RS3 LMS after making a sneaky pass in the final corner past Harald Proczyk’s SEAT on lap 1. van der Linde never looked back and would finish over 5 seconds ahead of Proczyk.
Mike Halder and his Wolf-Power Racing 2 SEAT would take the final podium position with championship leader Josh Files coming home fourth after Luca Engstler was given a post-race time penalty for causing an incident with Steve Kirsch.
For Race 2, Files was given pole position after Alex Morgan was DQ’d for not having enough fuel remaining in his tank after the session. Files would go on to win the race, but could not claim the title as rival Mike Halder finished second, just 1.6 seconds behind. Files is now up by 78 points with 85 points up for grabs for the final two races at Hockenheim.
TCR Germany will finish their 2017 season this coming weekend at Hockenheim with Race 1’s green flag flying at 12:00 local time.
