Tassi Completes Sweep at Hungaroring After Thrilling Race 2

After starting 8th Atilla Tassi fought through the field to take his second win on the weekend in his M1RA Honda Civic in Budapest’s Hungaroring. Pepe Oriola, who started second, also charged through the field to finish second, just ahead of pole-sitter Jens Reno Moller.

Giacomo Altoe would come home fourth in his West Coast Racing VW Golf with Roberto Colciago and Norbert Michelisz finishing 5th and 6th in the remaining M1RA Honda Civis.

JK Vernay would finish 7th with Stian Paulsen and James Nash 8th and 9th.  Stefano Comini, who struggled with the BoP on his ComeToYouRacing Audi RS3 LMS all weekend, would take the final points-paying position of 10th.

After the weekend sweep 18 year old Attila Tassi takes over the championship lead with 151 points with Roberto Colciago second with 145.  Jean-Karl Vernay sits third with 138 and Stefano Comini, who lead the title race coming into Hungary, now drops to 4th with 126 points.

TCR International visits Oschersleben for their next rounds on July 9th.
