Craft-Bamboo and TCR International’s newest driver, Daniel Lloyd, topped the testing time sheets today at Austria’s Salzburgring. “I’m really happy with how things ended up. I didn’t expect to be that quick, but one of my strengths is that I can jump into a car and get it working quite quickly. I’m looking forward to improving now. I’ve watched plenty of TCR in the past, it’s a series that’s growing all the time and it’s great to be a part of it, particularly in a top team,” said Lloyd.
The young Brit ran a quickest lap of 1:26.325, faster than both teammates of Pepe Oriola (1:26.373) and James Nash (1:26.612). in the second testing session.
During test 1, it was Oriola who came out on top with a time of 1:26.420 with the M1RA Honda of Attila Tassi just .054 seconds behind. Tassi did suffer a massive wreck during session 2, where he was unhurt, but the car was damaged beyond repair. Amazingly, the team were able to get a new car setup and ready for practice and qualifying.
Official practice begins on Saturday at 10:00am local time.
